REALISTIC CHILD & YOUTH CARE CENTRE

About us

Realistic Child and Youth Care Centre has taken over from St Francis Children’s Home to continue and improve on the work done, the facility will now be known as the Realistic Child and Youth Care Centre (hereafter referred to as Realistic CYCC)

Realistic CYCC has a solid infrastructure and facilities that are leased from the former St Francis CYCC.

Realistic CYCC provides residential care for up to 42 male children. The organization has sufficient staff to provide services to the children in its care and is currently in the process of ensuring that all child and youth care workers are trained to at least FETC level 4.

As already mentioned Realistic CYCC has a long record in caring for children in need of care. 'Realistic organization 'was established in 2004 and has since then provided youth development programs in different areas across western cape

VISION

Realistic CYCC provides holistic care and development for vulnerable children to enable them to reintegrate into and add value to society as empowered individuals.

MISSION

Realistic CYCC is committed to children in need of care and protection as defined in Section 150 of the Children’s Act (Act 38 of 2005), through the provision of structured programs in a safe nurturing environment, which caters to the children’s physical, social, emotional, cognitive, psychological and spiritual needs.
